The Roaring Fire Dagen combines the character of a traditional waxed canvas pack with the organisation and carrying comfort of a modern daypack. At 40 × 29 × 10 cm and 1.15 kg, it’s equally suited to everyday carry, commuting, hiking and bushcraft.

The water-resistant waxed canvas is paired with solid brass YKK zips, while discreet MOLLE webbing lets you add pouches without making the Dagen look overly technical. Inside, there’s a padded sleeve suitable for laptops up to a 14-inch MacBook Pro, alongside zipped, mesh and elasticated storage for smaller gear.

Mesh-padded shoulder straps help spread the load and improve airflow on longer walks, while top and side grab handles provide alternative carry options. There’s also a bottle pocket and hook-and-loop patch field.

Like a good pair of boots, the waxed canvas will pick up character with use rather than remain suspiciously pristine.
