Tenable Tuckamore Blue Vortex Folding Knife

Description

The Kansept Tuckamore, designed by Canadian knifemaker Jonathan Styles, draws on a lifetime spent outdoors in Newfoundland. His approach combines practical outdoor experience with a background in painting, carving and woodworking – what Styles describes as functional art.

Its 89.8 mm Nitro-V sheepsfoot blade has a flat grind for efficient everyday cutting, with spine jimping adding control for more precise work. Nitro-V offers a useful combination of edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance, while the unusual rose gold finish against the patterned blue handle gives this version considerably more character than the average work knife.

The handle uses Vortex Micarta with blue an yellow combining to bring plenty of texture and colour without sacrificing grip. A ball-bearing pivot provides smooth opening, while the liner lock keeps things reassuringly conventional.

At 102.8g, with a deep-carry stainless steel clip, the Tuckamore is a capable modern EDC folder with a distinctly Canadian flavour.
